Dance for Kids Malibu to relocate : Friday, August 1st, 2008

Karen Chase owner of Dance for Kids and The Malibu Academy of Dance announced today that the current studio will be relocating on September 1st 2008 to the Malibu Performing Arts Center at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road behind the Malibu City Hall. Renovations are now underway and will be completed by the opening of the fall session on September 2nd 2008. "When Cross Creek Plaza was sold in November 2007 the new property tax valuation was far too high to allow us to continue in our current space. We looked at several locations in Malibu, but when this space at the Performing Arts Center became available we knew that this would be the best location for our students, staff, and the Malibu community. We would like to thank the new owners of the Cross Creek Plaza for allowing us the time necessary to find the perfect spot in Malibu to relocate so we could continue to provide classes to our students in Malibu without missing a beat",stated Karen Chase. "We loved our current studio, but at the same time we are very excited about all the extra amenities we will be able to offer our students at the new location. Almost 2000 sq feet of bright studio dance space, a beautiful professional dance floor, a state of the art sound system in both studio rooms, closed circuit television for viewing all classes, a new and improved boutique, great parking and a very safe and private environment for our children to grow and enrich their dance experience." "The new studio will guarantee that traditions like the Malibu Civic Ballet Companies holiday presentation of the "Nutcracker", our spring show along with our summer theatre and performing art camps, plus ballet, tap, pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Boys Hip Hop, Lyrical and Modern classes and Mommy & Me classes for 2 year olds will all continue for years to come. Dance for Kids announces today that registrations for the Fall 2008 session is now open. The schedule for both the Brentwwod & Malibu Studios can be found right here on our web-site.
